উনবিংশ শতাব্দী এর অপারেশন থিয়েটার গুলোর পরিবেশ হতো নোংরা, অবর্ণনীয় যন্ত্রণায় কাতর রোগীদের কান্না চিৎকার চেঁচামেচিতে-পূর্ণ ভয়াবহ ব্যাপার ছিল, তখন অনুভূতিনাশকের ব্যবহার হয়নি।

 

চেতনানাশক না থাকার কারণে উনবিংশ শতাব্দী তে অস্ত্রোপচারে দক্ষতার চেয়ে দ্রুততা বেশি গুরুত্ব পেত। কোন সার্জন কত দ্রুত অস্ত্রোপচার সম্পন্ন করতে পারত, তার উপর ভিত্তি করে তার সাফল্য এবং সুনাম ছড়িয়ে পড়ত।
ফলে এমন অনেক সার্জন সে সময় খ্যাতি অর্জন করেছিলেন, যাদের আসলে কোনো শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতাও ছিল না। এরকম একজন বিখ্যাত অস্ত্রোপচারকারী ছিলেন রবার্ট লিস্টন, যিনি মাত্র ৩০ সেকেন্ডে আহত রোগীর পা কেটে ফেলার ব্যাপারে খ্যাতি অর্জন করেছিলেন!
এক কুখ্যাত অপারেশনের সময় তিনি এত দ্রুত রোগীর শরীরের অঙ্গচ্ছেদ করছিলেন যে, বেখেয়ালে হাতের ধারালো অস্ত্রের আঘাতে তার এক সহকারীর হাতের আঙ্গুল কেটে গিয়েছিল এবং একজন দর্শকের কোট ফেঁড়ে গিয়েছিল।
কথিত আছে, দর্শকটি ভয়েই মৃত্যুবরণ করেছিল, অন্যদিকে রোগী এবং সহকারীর গ্যাংগ্রীন ইনফেকশন হয়ে গিয়েছিল!
আরেক রোগী মূত্রাশয়ের পাথর অপসারণ করাতে লিস্টনের কাছে এসে অপরাশেন থিয়েটারের পরিবেশ এবং লিস্টারের ক্ষিপ্রতা দেখে ভীত হয়ে বাথরুমে ঢুকে দরজা আটকে দিয়েছিল। ৬ ফুট ২ ইঞ্চি উচ্চতার বিশালদেহী লিস্টন বাথরুমের দরজা ভেঙে তাকে বের করে এনেছিলেন এবং বিছানার সাথে তাকে বেঁধে এরপর অস্ত্রোপচার সম্পন্ন করেছিলেন।
উনবিংশ শতাব্দী তে চিকিৎসকদের আণুবীক্ষণিক জীবাণু এবং তাদের সংক্রমণ প্রণালী সম্পর্কে কোনো পরিষ্কার ধারণা ছিল না। চোখে দেখা যায় না, এরকম অনুজীবের কারণেও যে রোগীর মৃত্যু ঘটতে পারে, তার সাথে চিকিৎসকরা পরিচিত ছিলেন না। ফলে হাসপাতাল কক্ষগুলোতে রোগীদের আশেপাশেই পোকামাকড় এবং কীটপতঙ্গ ঘুরে বেড়াত। কিছু কিছু হাসপাতাল অবশ্য পোকামাকড় নির্মূল করার জন্য কর্মচারী নিয়োগ দিয়েছিল। কিছু কিছু ক্ষেত্রে এই কর্মচারীদের বেতন ছিল সার্জনদের চেয়েও বেশি!
সেই যুগে চিকিৎসকদের পরনে থাকত রক্তমাখা অ্যাপ্রন। অ্যাপ্রন পরিবর্তন তো দূরের কথা, তারা পরপর একাধিক অস্ত্রপচারের মাঝের সময়ে নিজেদের রক্তমাখা হাতও পরিষ্কার করতেন না। একই ছুরি-কাঁচি দিয়ে একের পর এক অস্ত্রপচার করে যেতেন। তাদের ধারণা ছিল, পরিষ্কার করার পরে তো আবারও রক্ত লাগবে, তাহলে পরিষ্কার করে কী লাভ! অ্যাপ্রনের রক্ত পরিষ্কার না করার আরেকটি কারণ ছিল, যার অ্যাপ্রনে যত বেশি রক্ত থাকত, তাকে তত চাহিদাসম্পন্ন সার্জন হিসেবে দেখা হতো।
অধিকাংশ রোগীই রক্তের অভাবে অথবা অস্ত্রোপচার পরবর্তী ইনফেকশনের কারণে মৃত্যুবরণ করত। অস্ত্রপচারের পরে রোগীদের বেঁচে থাকার সম্ভাবনা এত কম ছিল যে, হাসপাতালগুলো প্রায়ই রোগীদেরকে অগ্রীম টাকা পরিশোধ করতে বাধ্য করত। লন্ডনের কিছু কিছু হাসপাতালে সে সময় অপারেশন পরবর্তী মৃত্যুর হার ছিল ৮০ শতাংশের চেয়েও বেশি।
সেই যুগে অস্ত্রপচার ছিল একইসাথে দর্শনীয় একটি ব্যাপার। অনেকেই সে সময়ের চিকিৎসা বিজ্ঞানের অগ্রগতি সম্পর্কে উৎসাহের কারণে অস্ত্রোপচারগুলো স্বচক্ষে দেখার জন্য হাসপাতালে যেত। তবে এছাড়াও টেলিভিশন এবং সিনেমা আবিষ্কার হওয়ার পূর্বে সে সময় অনেকেই জীবন-মৃত্যুর মধ্যকার সংগ্রাম উপভোগ করার জন্য হাসপাতালগুলোতে ভিড় জমাত। কিছু কিছু হাসপাতালে টিকেট কেটে অপারেশন দেখানোর বন্দোবস্তও ছিল।
চেতনানাশক না থাকায় রোগীদেরকে সে সময় অবর্ণনীয় কষ্ট সহ্য করতে হতো। ফিটজহ্যারিস তার গবেষণায় দেখতে পান, শুধু রোগীরা না, তাদের কষ্ট এবং আর্তনাদ দেখে অনেক সময় সার্জনরাও ভেঙ্গে পড়তেন এবং কাঁদতে শুরু করতেন।
১৮৪০ সালে এরকম অস্ত্রোপচারের মধ্য দিয়ে যাওয়া এক মহিলা তার মেয়ের কাছে লেখা একটি চিঠিতে অপারেশনটিকে মৃত্যুর সাথে যুদ্ধ হিসেবে বর্ণনা করেন। তিনি বলেন, অপারেশনের পূর্বে সার্জন তার রুমে এসে তাকে ছুরি দেখিয়ে বলেছিল মৃত্যুর জন্য প্রস্তুত হতে।
উনবিংশ শতাব্দী এর শেষভাগে অস্ত্রোপচার প্রযুক্তি ধীরে ধীরে উন্নতি লাভ করতে শুরু করে। ১৮৪৬ সালে ম্যাসাচুসেটস জেনারেল হাসপাতালে জন কলিন্স ওয়ারেন সর্বপ্রথম ইথার গ্যাস ব্যবহার করে রোগীকে অনুভূতিশূণ্য করে অপারেশন পরিচালনা করেন।

 

ফলে সার্জনদের সামনে দ্রুত অপারেশনের পরিবর্তে ধীরে-সুস্থে ঠান্ডা মাথায় জটিল অপারেশনের পথ উন্মুক্ত হয়। কিন্তু প্রথম দিকে অনেকদিন পর্যন্ত এর কোনো সুফল পাওয়া যায়নি। বরং এর ফলাফল হয়েছিল আরো ঋণাত্মক। কারণ দীর্ঘসময় ধরে অপারেশন করার অর্থ ছিল রোগ-জীবাণুগুলোকে কাটা এবং ক্ষতস্থানে বিস্তার লাভ করার জন্য আরো বেশি সময় দেওয়া।
এই অবস্থার পরিবর্তন ঘটে, যখন জোসেফ লিস্টার নামে এক অল্পবয়সী সার্জন লুই পাস্তুরের ব্যাকটেরিয়ার আবিষ্কার সম্পর্কে জ্ঞান লাভ করার পরে হাসপাতালে রোগীদের অস্বাভাবিক মৃত্যুর কারণ হিসেবে অদৃশ্য জীবাণুর ধারণা দেন এবং বলেন যে, এই জীবাণুগুলোর কারণেই অস্ত্রোপচার সফল হওয়ার পরেও অনেক রোগীই শেষ পর্যন্ত ইনফেকশন হয়ে মারা যাচ্ছে।
জীবাণু প্রতিরোধের জন্য তিনি বিভিন্ন ধরনের রাসায়নিক পদার্থ নিয়ে গবেষণা শুরু করেন এবং সর্বপ্রথম কার্বলিক এসিডের মাধ্যমে ক্ষতস্থান এবং ছুরি-কাঁচি পরিষ্কার করে জীবাণু দূর করার পদ্ধতি আবিষ্কার করেন।
১৮৬৫ সালে তিনি সর্বপ্রথম জীবাণুনাশক ব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে অস্ত্রোপচার পরিচালনা করেন। প্রথমদিকে অবশ্য এই অদৃশ্য জীবাণু এবং তাকে প্রতিরোধের জন্য জীবাণুনাশক হিসেবে রাসায়নিকের ব্যবহারের ধারণা মানুষের কাছে গ্রহণযোগ্য করাতে তাকে অনেক কাঠখড় পোড়াতে হয়েছিল।
কিন্তু কলিন্স এবং লিস্টারের দুটি ভিন্ন ভিন্ন আবিষ্কার শেষপর্যন্ত অস্ত্রোপচারের সফলতার হার এবং রোগীদের কষ্ট লাঘবের ক্ষেত্রে যুগান্তকারী ভূমিকা রাখে।

নওয়াব ফয়জুন্নেসা চৌধুরানী।দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার প্রথম ও একমাত্র মহিলা নওয়াব

” ব্রিটিশদের দেওয়া বেগম উপাধি গ্রহণ করেননি, শেষ পর্যন্ত নওয়াব উপাধি দিতে হয়েছে এই নারীকে!

 

নওয়াব ফয়জুন্নেসা চৌধুরানী ছিলেন দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার প্রথম ও একমাত্র মহিলা নওয়াব ও নারীশিক্ষার পথিকৃৎ। তিনি অনেকটা নিজের অদম্য ইচ্ছার কারণে শিক্ষিত হন। শিক্ষা, সমাজকল্যাণ ও সেবাব্রতে তিনি যে উদাহরণ সৃষ্টি করেছেন তা ইতিহাসে বিরল ।

জন্মঃ

নওয়াব ফয়জুন্নেসা (১৮৩৪-১৯০৩)  জমিদার, নারীশিক্ষার প্রবর্তক, সমাজসেবক ও কবি। নওয়াব ফয়জুন্নেসার জন্ম কুমিল্লা জেলার হোমনাবাদ পরগনার (বর্তমানে লাকসামের) অন্তর্গত পশ্চিমগাঁয়ে । তিনি ১৮৩৪ সালে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন । তার বাবা জমিদার আহমেদ আলী চৌধুরী আর মা আরাফান্নেসা চৌধুরাণী। তাঁর পিতা আহমদ আলী চৌধুরী ছিলেন হোমনাবাদ-পশ্চিমগাঁও-এর জমিদার।

পারিবারিক পরিবেশে গৃহশিক্ষকের তত্ত্বাবধানে বাড়িতেই তিনি শিক্ষালাভ করেন। মুসলমানদের কঠিন পর্দাপ্রথার মধ্যে থেকেও ফয়জুন্নেসা আরবি, ফারসি ও উর্দুর পাশাপাশি বাংলা ও সংস্কৃত ভাষায়ও ব্যুৎপত্তি অর্জন করেন।

 

ব্যক্তিগত ও কর্মজীবন

প্রথম জীবনঃ

ফয়জুন্নেসা বাবার প্রথম কন্যাসন্তান। জমিদার বংশের সন্তান হিসেবে বেশ আরাম-আয়েশের মধ্য দিয়ে তিনি বেড়ে ওঠেন। মোগল রাজত্বের উত্তরসূরী এই মহীয়সী নারীর ছিল দুই ভাই (এয়াকুব আলী চৌধুরী এবং ইউসুফ আলী চৌধুরী) আর দু’বোন (লতিফুন্নেসা চৌধুরাণী এবং আমিরুন্নেসা চৌধুরাণী)।

ছোটবেলা থেকে লেখাপড়ায় তার প্রচুর আগ্রহ দেখে ফয়জুন্নেসার বাবা মেয়ের জন্য গৃহশিক্ষক নিযুক্ত করেন। তিনি কঠোর নিয়মানুবর্তিতা পালন করে তার জ্ঞানস্পৃহাকে আরো উজ্জ্বল থেকে উজ্জ্বলতর করে তোলেন। গৃহশিক্ষকের সাহায্যে ফয়জুন্নেসা খুব দ্রুতই কয়েকটি ভাষার উপর গভীর জ্ঞান অর্জন করতে সক্ষম হন। বাংলা, আরবি, ফার্সি ও সংস্কৃত এ চারটি ভাষায় ব্যুৎপত্তি লাভ সহ ফয়জুন্নেসার এ প্রতিভা স্ফুরণে তার শিক্ষক তাজউদ্দিনের অবদান অতুলনীয়।

বিয়েঃ

১৫ বছর বয়সী কিশোরীর শরীর জুড়ে ছিল রূপ-লাবণ্যের ঢেউ। টানা টানা চোখ, হরিণীর মতই সদা চন্চল। বাবা ছিলেন কুমিল্লা অন্চলের (তৎকালীন ত্রিপুরা) পশ্চিমগাঁওয়ের (বর্তমান লাকসাম)বিরাট জমিদার।
অল্প বয়সেই কিশোরীর বিয়ের প্রস্তাব আসে ভাউকসারের জমিদার গাজী মোহাম্মদ চৌধুরীর কাছ থেকে।
পশ্চিমগাঁওতে জমিদারির কাজে এসে তিনি কিশোরীকে দেখে পছন্দ করেন। পরে বিয়ে হয়। ফুটফুটে দুটি মেয়েও হয়। তখন তিনি পরিপূর্ণ যুবতী।

জমিদারি লাভঃ

বিয়ের ১৭ বছর পর জানতে পারেন, তার স্বামীর আরেকটি বউ আছে। বিষয়টি তাঁর আত্মসম্মানে লাগে। তিনি প্রতারিত বোধ করেন। স্বামীকে স্পষ্টত জানিয়ে দেন, সতীনের সঙ্গে ঘর করার জন্য জন্ম হয়নি তার। তিনি স্বামীর বাড়িতে আর ফিরে যাবেন না।
এরই মধ্যে বাবা মারা যাওয়ায় তিনি নিলেন পৈতৃক জমিদারির দায়িত্ব। এ নিয়ে তার কোনো অভিজ্ঞতা ছিল না। কিন্তু এক সময় বাবার সান্নিধ্যে কাজ শেখা তার মজ্জাগতই ছিল। তিনি সেই অভিজ্ঞতা কাজে লাগান সফলভাবে। সারাদেশে তিনি ছিলেন একমাত্র মহিলা জমিদার।

স্বীকৃতিঃ

সেসময় ত্রিপুরার জেলা ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট ছিলেন মি.ডগলাস। একদিন তিনি খেয়াল করলেন ত্রিপুরা অঞ্চল শিক্ষা ও উন্নয়ন খাতে ভীষণ অবহেলিত। তিনি এই খাতে অর্থ বরাদ্দ চান ব্রিটিশ সরকারের কাছে।কিন্তু সেই অর্থ নির্ধারিত সময়ে আসছে না। ডগলাস সাহেব চিন্তিত হলেন।
সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়ে ডগলাস স্থানীয় ১০জন জমিদারের কাছে ঋণ হিসাবে ১০ হাজার টাকা করে ১ লাখ টাকা চাইলেন। কিন্তু কেউই এতো অল্প সুদে অর্থ দিতে রাজি হলেন না।একে একে সব আশা যখন শেষ হয়ে গেল তখন হঠাৎ একদিন এই নারী জমিদারের নায়েব পুটুলি ভর্তি নগদ ১ লাখ টাকা নিয়ে এসে ডগলাসের হাতে দিলেন।
ডগলাস খুব আনন্দিত এবং নিশ্চিন্ত হলেন। তিনি কালবিলম্ব না করে নায়েবের সাথেই রওনা হয়ে জমিদারের বাড়িতে গেলেন ঋণের চুক্তি করতে। কিন্তু ম্যাজিস্ট্রেটকে বিস্মিত করে জমিদার নারীটি বললেন –
“আমি কাউকে ঋণ দিই না। আপনার পরিকল্পনা জনহিতকর। এটা নিশ্চিত হয়েই এই টাকা ত্রিপুরার কল্যাণে আমি দান করলাম।”
ডগলাস কৃতজ্ঞচিত্তে ফিরে গেলেন এবং জানলেন যে এই নারী জমিদার জনকল্যাণমূলক অসংখ্য কাজ করেছেন এবং প্রতিনিয়ত করে চলেছেন।
ডগলাস এইসব কথা জানিয়ে ইংল্যান্ডে মহারানী ভিক্টোরিয়াকে পত্র পাঠালেন। রাণী ভিক্টোরিয়া এই জমিদারকে “বেগম” উপাধি দিলেন। কিন্তু ফয়জুন্নেসা জমিদার এই উপাধি প্রত্যাখ্যান করলেন।
কারণ অন্য জমিদারদের যেখানে ‘নওয়াব’ উপাধি দেয়া হয় সেখানে তাকে কেন ‘বেগম’ উপাধি দেয়া হবে? উপাধির কোন জেন্ডার থাকা উচিৎ নয়।
ভিক্টোরিয়া এই প্রত্যাখানের খবর পেয়ে ভীষণ ক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে তিন সদস্য বিশিষ্ট তদন্ত কমিটি করে ত্রিপুরায় পাঠালেন। তদন্ত কমিটি এসে নানা বিষয়ে তদন্ত করে একদিন সেই তেজী নারী জমিদারের বাড়িতে উপস্থিত হয়ে দেখেন, জমিদার হাতিতে চড়ার প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছেন।
তিনি কোথাও কাজে যাবেন, সেখানে তাকে নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে পৌঁছুতে হবে।তদন্ত কমিটি জমিদারের কাছে সময় চাইলে জমিদার বললেন –”আমি পূর্ব নির্ধারিত কাজে যাচ্ছি, এখন আপনাদের সময় দেয়া সম্ভব নয়।” আর কথা না বাড়িয়ে সময়নিষ্ঠ জমিদার তাঁর কাজে রওনা হয়ে গেলেন।
ব্রিটিশ তদন্ত কমিটি হতবাক হয়ে গেল নেটিভ এই জমিদারের সময়ানুবর্তীতা, তেজস্বী মনেভাব ও অহংকার দেখে !! এবং তারা ফিরে গিয়ে ভিক্টোরিয়াকে জানালেন সব কথা। এইবার রানী ভিক্টোরিয়া আর ভুল করলেন না। প্রবল ব্যক্তিত্বময়ী এই জমিদারকে “নওয়াব” উপাধি দিলেন।
১৮৮৯ সালে ব্রিটিশ সরকার পঁয়ত্রিশ হাজার টাকা ব্যয় করে যথাযথ মর্যাদা দিয়ে কুমিল্লায় এই জমিদারকে সম্বর্ধনা দিলেন। তিনি হলেন বাংলার প্রথম নারী “নওয়াব”। মৃত্যুর আগে তিনি তাঁর সমস্ত ভূসম্পত্তি জাতির সেবায় দিয়ে যান
তিনি কেবল জনহিতকর কাজই করেননি, নারী শিক্ষা,নারী উন্নয়নমূলক অসংখ্য কাজ করেছেন। ছিলেন সুশিক্ষিত, চারটি ভাষা জানতেন। ছিলেন একজন সুসাহিত্যিকও।

সাহিত্য চর্চাঃ

রবীন্দ্রযুগে যে কয়জন বাংলা সাহিত্য সাধনা করে যশ ও খ্যাতি অর্জন করেন, নওয়াব ফয়জুন্নেসা তাদের মধ্যে অন্যতম। আধুনিক বাংলা সাহিত্যের ইতিহাসে প্রথম মুসলিম সাহিত্যিক হিসেবে নবাব ফয়জুন্নেসার নাম চিরস্মরণীয়। কলকাতার ঠাকুরবাড়ির ‘সখী সমিতি’র সদস্যা ছিলেন তিনি। 

তার সাহিত্য সাধনার খুব অল্প সময়ে তিনি বঙ্কিমচন্দ্রের সমসাময়িক লেখক। শুধু তাই নয় প্রথম মুসলিম গদ্য-পদ্যে লেখিকা ছিলেন। ১৮৭৬ খ্রীস্টাব্দে ১০ ফেব্রুয়ারি ঢাকা গিরিশচন্দ্র মুদ্রণ যন্ত্র থেকে শ্রীমতি নওয়াব ফয়জুন্নেসা চৌধুরাণী রচিত সাহিত্য গ্রন্থ ‘রূপজালাল’ প্রকাশিত হয়।

ব্রিটিশ অপশাসনের ফলে মুসলিম সমাজে কুসংস্কারের বেড়াজালে অবরোধবাসিনী হয়েও ফয়জুন্নেসা সাহিত্য সাধনার মাধ্যমে একটি গৌরবময় স্থান অধিকার করে আছেন। রূপজালাল ব্যতীত ফয়জুন্নেসা কর্তৃক দু’খানি গ্রন্থের নাম পাওয়া যায়-সঙ্গীত লহরী ও সঙ্গীত সার প্রকাশিত হলেও তা এখন দুষ্প্রাপ্য। একথা বললে অত্যুক্তি হবে না সাহিত্য সাধনায় ফয়জুন্নেসার পথ ধরে বেগম রোকেয়ার আবির্ভাব হয়েছে। বাংলার নারীদের সাহিত্যে অবদানে নওয়াব ফয়জুন্নেসা সর্বাগ্রে।

মৃত্যুঃ

১৯০৩ সালের ২৩ সেপ্টেম্বর এ মহীয়সীর জীবনাবসান ঘটে। তাকে তার প্রতিষ্ঠিত দশগুম্বুজ মসজিদের পাশে পারিবারিক কবরস্থানে দাফন করা হয়।

এসেক্সুয়ালিটি (Asexuality) :

 

নারী ও পুরুষের যৌন চেতনায় বিরাট একটা পার্থক্য আছে তাঁদের এসেক্সুয়ালিটি নিয়ে।
এসেক্সুয়ালিটি হলো একটি সেক্সুয়াল অরিয়েন্টেশন যা ১% এর কাছাকাছি নরনারী LGBTQ-এর মতই জন্মগত ভাবে পেয়ে থাকে।
এদের বৈশিষ্ট হলো, এঁরা কোনো জেন্ডারের প্রতিই সেক্সুয়ালি এট্রাকটেড ফীল করে না।
এঁরা ইম্পটেন্ট নয়, শারীরিক ভাবে যৌন মিলনে খুবই সক্ষম, এঁরা ব্রহ্মচারীও নন আবার, একই বা বিপরীত লিঙ্গিয় বন্ধু বান্ধবীও এদের থাকে। কিন্তু এঁরা তাঁদের কারো সাথে যৌনতা ইনক্লুসিভ কোনো রোমান্টিক সম্পর্কে জড়ান না বা জড়াতে পারেনই না।

এত কিছু বলছি কেন?

What is the future of data science? What to start with ?

According to a Forbes survey, about 13 job sectors will be fully automated by 2030, and the World Economic Forum estimates that about 75 million jobs will be displaced due to automation, but interestingly, a total of 133 million new jobs will be generated.

However, it is possible to automate some low and middle-skill jobs due to automation, but it is never possible to do data science jobs. If you want to understand why automation can’t waste data science jobs, you need to understand what data science is and how the data science ecosystem works.

Then at the beginning, you should take a little idea about data science. In simple terms, data science is a hybrid subject, and data science focuses on statistics, applied mathematics, and computer science.
We call any job lucrative when its market value, job salary, and future demand are all very good. Now you have to understand how the job market in data science?

Most of the most lucrative jobs of the present age are indeed based on data science. According to Glassdoor, a data scientist in the United States earns about $ 95k – $ 200k a year. Job positions based on Data Science are created respectively – Machine Learning Engineer, Database Administrator, Data Architect, Data Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, etc.

So what is the demand in Bangladesh? Yes, it is true that the demand for data science relevant jobs is also high in Bangladesh. However, with the development of technology in Bangladesh, the demand for it is increasing and the demand will increase in the future. Many private companies in Bangladesh are hiring new data science-relevant jobs to increase their business growth rate.

You may be wondering what is the relationship between increasing the business growth rate and data science? Yes, of course. Let me clarify the matter with a small example. Suppose you search for ‘python tutorial’ on YouTube. After searching for it, YouTube may bring up many tutorial suggestions on your homepage and you may cut it after watching a video for a while.

Next time you go to YouTube, you will hopefully bring at least 1-3 Python programming videos to the homepage along with all the other videos. But what is the reason? When you search, YouTube understands that you are interested in Python. So later suggested this kind of video in front of you. Now I think the question is how these things are normal?

To discuss this in detail, we need to talk about machine learning, NLP, and data mining. ML, NLP, DM can all be called subsets of data science. I will talk about each topic in another article in a specific way InshaAllah.

I want to learn data science. But how do I get started? This question seems to be a common question of every human being. I will share some tips from my experience which I hope will be very useful for newcomers. First, you can learn by doing a master’s course in data science. If that is not possible then there are many resources available online.

Suppose you want to learn data science right now. But first, you have to learn the basics of Python or R Programming Language well. About 80{65d74b771b6ceff07eaefc19ffed56e0ab6ea89ffc0f0b38516c35f1ac414386} of people here are confused about which one to start with. The answer is whatever you like. In my opinion, the best decision is to start with Python programming. Python’s resources are available for free on YouTube.

On the Study Mart channel, you can learn basic Python programming in Bengali very well or many more English resources, including FreeCodeCamp, Krish Naik, Corey Schafer, Telusko, Edureka, Coursera.

Now let’s talk about Python, not R programming. In fact, Python’s syntax is much easier to remember, and you get a lot more Python resources from it. You have no alternative to Python when it comes to image, NLP-related work. You can easily do this through a deep learning framework based on Python, such as Tensorflow or Pytorch. Python has a machine learning library like Sklearn. Matrix libraries like Numpy, data frame libraries like Pandas are awesome in a word.

But R is not inferior in any way. And with it, almost everything can be done. However, R has a library of 2400+ statistics and 3000+ built-in functions. Which is very easy to do statistical analysis (if the target is data analysis: https://youtu.be/iQEV5VM-vYI). If you want to be a good data scientist, Python needs to be proficient in two languages. In addition to acquiring data analysis skills, you need to learn MS Excel, SQL Database, SPSS, Weka, Tableau, Power BI slowly. Tableau or PowerBi should be learned very well at least.
When your Basic Python is over, all you have to do is get a rough idea about NumPy, Pandas, Seaborn, and Matplotlib. This is because about 80{65d74b771b6ceff07eaefc19ffed56e0ab6ea89ffc0f0b38516c35f1ac414386} of the time in each data science project is spent on data preprocessing and statistical analysis.

So you need to know at least Pandas and Seaborn well. Then your job is to make an algorithm selection for you to develop your model. 3. You cannot compare your path with anyone else’s. We each have our own struggles, and we each have our own triumphs. Your path is your path for a reason. Pay attention to the lessons meant for you and you only.

4. Your inner circle is your “dream team.” If you surround yourself with negative people, your dream will die. If you surround yourself with positive and driven people, your dream will thrive. It’s on you to build your “dream team” accordingly.

5. Your life is a reflection of how well you know yourself. It always comes back to self-awareness. The more willing you are to address your fears, shortcomings, and points of conflict, the more self-awareness you will have and the happier you will be.

1. How you invest your time is a reflection of how you invest your money. The smart and wealthy know the value of their time. They see each minute, hour, day, week, month, and so on as an opportunity to invest wisely in themselves. You must do the same.

2. To be productive, you have to remove distractions. Productivity is not about multitasking. It’s actually the opposite. It’s about trying to do less so that you can ultimately do more.

3. If you aren’t getting done what needs to get done, there is a fear. We avoid the things we don’t want to do–or worse, wonder if we can do at all. This is why startup plans and book ideas get pushed to the back burner so often. To get the work done, you have to confront what’s holding you back.

4. Efficiency is a process. It doesn’t happen the first or second time you do something. This means in order to be productive in the fullest sense, you have to commit to the process of always looking for ways to improve over the long term.

5. Failure to prepare means preparing to fail. You can’t expect yourself to move through things quickly and effectively if you haven’t set yourself up for success. What you do today impacts where you start tomorrow.

Relationships

1. The most important relationship in your life is the one you have with yourself. Without a positive relationship with yourself, every other relationship in your life will suffer. It always starts with you.

2. Friendships and relationships are collaborations. They are not one-way streets. Healthy relationships make both parties better.

3. Lack of sleep is not a trophy. Bragging about only getting three hours of sleep last night is not something to be proud of. What it shows is a severe lack of balance and an unsustainable workflow. Life is a marathon, not a sprint.

4. Physical activity is crucial to personal wellness. No matter how busy you get, or how hectic things are, you always have to make time to take care of your physical body. Exercise is key. If you don’t, you’ll pay for it later.

5. Coffee is good, but too much coffee is bad. When your entire diet becomes “red-eye” after “red-eye,” it’s time to address the sleep problem.

Career lessons

1. You don’t get anywhere fast trying to cut the line. There are no shortcuts. Throwing someone under the bus on your way up will only come back to bite you. Focus on investing in yourself and your skill sets and let the rest fall into place.

2. Your reputation is everything. Above all, you always want former employers, co-workers, partners, and collaborators to speak highly of you. Upholding your reputation is everything when it comes to building a successful career for yourself.

5. Somewhere, someone much younger than you is practicing his or her heart out, coming for your spot. Just remember that. Anyone can reach the top of the mountain. The hard part is staying there.
